I have since gone back to an older Telstra Thomson Gateway TG782T (which seems to work just fine with fewer dropouts and no reboots). This "Max" modem, despite its good looks and modern styling, does not come with any installation CDs or driver support so it's useless on a clean OS (in particular Windows 7 and 8.1).
